Picea orientalis
'Gowdy'
Oriental Spruce

Zones 4-7

Picea orientalis 'Gowdy', also known as the Oriental Spruce, is a slow-growing, dwarf conifer with a compact, upright form. The needles are short, dense, and dark green, providing a rich, lush appearance. Typically grows to about 6-8 feet tall and 2-3 feet wide over a period of many years, making it suitable for small gardens or as a specimen plant. This cultivar is prized for its dense, attractive foliage and compact form, making it an excellent choice for rock gardens, small landscapes, and container planting. It is also valued for its year-round interest and low maintenance requirements.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of Japanese maples, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy Japanese maples you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

It's a start

It is a baby and it grows slowly, so I will be evaluating again in the future. It would be nice to see specimens when 10 or more years old.
