Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey'

White Flowering Golden Oak Leaf Hydrangea

USPP#15,477

Zones 5b-9

Partial Sun to Full Sun

When planted with sunlight, Hydrangea quercifolia 'Little Honey' emerges in the spring with bright yellow foliage. The yellow is more intense with more sun. More shaded plants may have more chartreuse green. 'Little Honey' has gorgeous white blooms that add even more pizzazz to this smaller growing oakleaf hydrangea. 'Little Honey' was found in Olympia, Washington, as a branch sport off the smaller growing 'Pee Wee'.  'Little Honey' may reach 2-3 ft in height by 4-5 ft in width in 10 years.

Limited Quantities Available !! As we have over a thousand cultivars of woody ornamentals, we often do not have many of each cultivar. We recommend that you buy the woody ornamentals you want immediately as we often sell out of certain selections.

Small but thriving

The plant is smaller than expected but it looks healthy and is already in the landscape. Looking forward to seeing it grow and display seasonal colors.

Looks good

Hydrangea arrived in good condition with a little breakage at the tip but not concerned as roots and main stem look good. A unique small oakleaf that I look forward to planting

Little Honey Oakleaf Hydrangea

I appreciate the carefully packed plants I have received from Mr Maple. Little Honey arrived in excellent condition. The yellow color will add brightness to my spring garden, while the fall red color of an oakleaf hydrangea is a welcome site.

Intense Color!

She’ll stop you in your tracks! Absolutely blown away at the different colors this plant pulls off. I have 2 planted in different areas. She really needs mostly shade in a protected area in my 6b/7a NE Oklahoma yard. Unlike any Hydrangea I’ve ever seen. I suggest one in every yard, Thank you MrMaple Team!
